We Do Not Use Cookies
Imperium IP sets no cookies. Not analytics cookies, not advertising cookies, not third-party cookies, and not "essential" cookies either — the Site does not need any to work. There is nothing here for you to accept or reject, which is why you will not find a cookie banner.
We Do Not Load Third-Party Resources
Every font, stylesheet, script, and image on this Site is served from this domain. The Site embeds no analytics tags, no advertising pixels, no social widgets, no chat widgets, and no externally hosted fonts. No other company learns your IP address, or that you visited, as a side effect of your loading a page here.
Trademark images shown in search results are the official mark images published by the USPTO and are loaded from the USPTO's own servers. Those requests go to the USPTO, not to an advertiser, and they happen only when you view a record that has an image.
What We Do Store in Your Browser
The Site uses local storage, which is not a cookie. Local storage stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else — it is not attached to network requests the way a cookie is. We use it to remember things you asked us to remember:
- Searches and reports you chose to save
- Your recent search history, so the search box can suggest it back to you
- The email address you entered for watchlist alerts, so you do not have to type it again
None of this is written until you take an action that calls for it. A first visit that only reads pages stores nothing.
How to Clear It
You can clear saved searches and reports from within the Site. You can also clear everything at once through your browser: in most browsers this is under Settings, then Privacy, then site data, and clearing it for imperiumip.com removes all of the above. Using a private or incognito window means nothing persists after you close it.
Clearing this data does not break anything. The Site works normally with empty local storage; you will just be asked for your watchlist email again, and saved searches will be gone.
If This Changes
We have integrated a privacy-respecting product-analytics tool that is not currently switched on. If we ever enable it, or add anything else that sets a cookie or contacts a third party, we will update this page and the Privacy Policy before doing so, and we will present a consent choice where one is required.
