Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 21, 2026

Our Commitment

Imperium IP respects your privacy. We do not sell your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, how we process it, and what choices you have.

Information We Collect

  • Account data. Email address and name provided during sign-up (when accounts become available).
  • Search queries. Trademark terms, classes, owner names, locations, and goods or services descriptions you submit through the Site.
  • Usage data. IP address, browser type, referrer, and basic page-visit metadata used for security, performance monitoring, and aggregate analytics.
  • Saved workspaces. Searches and reports you choose to save are stored in your browser's local storage on the device you used.

How We Process Your Data

  • AI processing. Search queries and report inputs are processed via secure APIs to AI models (Anthropic Claude) to generate plain-English summaries, risk analyses, and verified alternative names. Our third-party AI infrastructure providers do not use your inputs to train their models, and data handling is governed by strict commercial confidentiality terms.
  • Improvement. We may use de-identified or aggregated query data to evaluate platform performance and improve scoring accuracy.
  • Attorney discovery. When you use the Find Attorney feature, we run an automated web search using your location and specialty. We do not share your personal data or prior search history with any attorney. You must contact attorneys directly and decide what information to share with them.
  • External sources. We retrieve data from the USPTO, RDAP domain registries, and CourtListener. We do not send your account identifiers to those sources.

Cookies and Local Storage

The Site uses browser local storage to remember your saved searches and reports across visits. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising.

Product Analytics

We use a privacy-respecting product-analytics tool (PostHog) to understand how users navigate the Site, which searches succeed or fail, and which sections need improvement. We do not link analytics data to your personal identity unless you create an account, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Your Privacy Choices and Rights

You may clear your saved workspace data at any time from the Site. Subject to applicable U.S. state privacy laws, you have the following rights with respect to personal data we hold about you:

  • Right to access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to correct. Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Right to delete. Request that we delete personal data associated with your account.
  • Right to portability. Request a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Right to opt out. Opt out of the processing of your personal data for targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling. Imperium IP does not sell personal data and does not engage in targeted advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at Admin@ImperiumIP.com. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days of receipt, as required by applicable U.S. state privacy laws. If we need additional time (up to a further 45 days), we will notify you within the original response period.

If you are unable to exercise your rights directly, you may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf. We may request verification of your identity and the agent's authority before fulfilling the request.
